Spotlight Artist #3: Skizzy Mars

Skizzy Mars is hands down one of my favorite rappers, if not artists altogether. His music actually makes me FEEL something, which is so rare for me to find in rap. Just trying to pick my favorite songs for this post is proving to be very difficult. They're all effing fantastic man. If you've never heard of Skizzy before, get ready to keep this mix on repeat.

Spotlight Artist #2: MISTERWIVES

This spotlight artist will be about MisterWives! They're a relatively new indie pop band that I've been loving since February, when they released their debut album Our Own House. They've had an EP come out before then and a couple of singles that followed, but this album has really put them up there as one of my favorite bands.

Spotlight Artist #1: JAYMES YOUNG

I've wanted to do this for a while, but I couldn't think of someone I wanted to write a whole post about. I finally listened to Jaymes Young's new EP, and I was so incredibly impressed that I knew my first Spotlight Artist post had to be about him.

Young is a relatively new artist. His first EP Dark Star was released in September 2013. I personally like his newer EP Habits of My Heart more, and I will be talking about all of the songs in this post. I will also include two of my other favorites by him.
